Going down, you’ll see a cute windmill that will make you feel like Amsterdam.

2. Sirao Flower Garden.

This is a different garden but just 20 feet away from Little Amsterdam. Entrance fee is only 50pesos ($1). Same with Little Amsterdam, it has a variety of flowers. It has a lot of spots to take pictures it’s indeed Instagram worthy location.

Farmers start to plant flowers around July. Their harvest period is the last week of October in preparation for All Saints & All Soul’s Day. The time we went there the flowers are starting to bloom.

3. Temple of Leah

Temple of Leah is a symbol of their undying love to the great matriarch of Adarna Clan.

Six years ago they started to build the Temple of Leah. Now, I believe that there’s still a man who can still please you with their words. “I will build you a castle as a symbol of my undying love.” I hope everyone does that not just by building things but just being transparent and reciprocate with everything, that’s how love works. Give and Take.
It’s still under construction, and I’ll be back again to see the beauty of the finish Temple of Leah.
5. Taoist Temple
This is the last destination, it is located at Beverly Hills Subdivision. Your habal-habal will you drop you off at the gate of the subdivision. You’ll walk around 4km from the gate.

Reminders upon visiting the temple:

• Observe Silence. the place is very solemn.
• Taking pictures inside the shrine is not allowed.
• Please wear proper attire. No Shorts and No Sando.

Built in 1972, the Taoist Temple is constructed in a highly ornate and, some would say, gaudy style that is typical of much modern Chinese religious architecture and is topped with the usual pagoda-style roof.
The temple has an elevation of 300 meters above sea level, and if you climb the 99 steps to the entrance, you will be rewarded with a panoramic view of Cebu City and the harbor and in the distance Mactan and Bohol islands. Nice sunset views too.
Taoism

What is Taoism? Taoism is a Chinese religion/philosophy based on the teachings of Lao Tze who was said to have lived in the 6th century BC and the sacred text, the Tao te Ching. that Lao Tze is traditionally believed to have written.

Taoists believe the “tao” (the way), that refers to the principle of the universe. An emphasis is put on remaining in harmony with the “tao” and with one’s environment, which in turn leads to right behavior.

I want to end my Cebu Blog with no tears left to cry. whenever I will go back and read this, I want to remind myself that I became a stronger lady just by leaving everything that is meant to be in Cebu City. Cebu you left my heart in awe, I made a lot of memories while I’m touring you around. I’ll be back but with a smile on my face while boarding in the plane.

4. Dolphin Watch. You can actually see dolphin but I think it’s only available in the morning.

On our second day in Cebu, we decided to stay at Badian to take a rest from Canyoneering and Kawasan Falls Experience. We are going to meet the whale sharks. We left the hostel before the sun came out, 5AM in the morning. We rode Ceres Bus going to going to Bato via Liloan and drop you off at Brgy. Tan-awan. The fare is around 70pesos ($1.50). If you’re coming from Cebu City that is 3-4 hours away so better leave 2AM or 3AM in the morning because the whale shark watching is from 6AM to 12NN only. From terminal take the tricycle going Oslob, the fare is 200pesos ($4).

Here’s the rate:

Whale Shark activity is available daily from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM only. and it’s good for 30 mins. Since it’s not peak season, I think we exceeded the 30 mins limit.

Upon arriving the Oslob Whale Watching Area everyone is required to go orientation at the briefing Area for the rules for the Interaction with the whale sharks.

Their package cost around 1500 pesos ($30) per head, that includes tour guide, life vest, water, and your meal after the tour.

We rode a motorcycle going to the entrance, there will be tourist information or orientation before starting your Canyoneering and Kawasan Experience. I’m not a good swimmer, I need to wear it all the time.
As soon as we saw the river we were amazed by the turquoise blue water. They are really turquoise blue, pictures are not photoshopped. You can really tell that current is strong, the water is pushing me to the next trek. I thought I’d be able to see the Kawasan Falls right away.
One of the highlights of the Canyoneering is the 12feet jump and the Natural Slide.

And 10feet or 8 feet jump. PS. We really jump, this is once in a lifetime experience.

Next is the Hand swing. They did not allow us to take a jump because the water level is not enough by that time.

And at the end of the tour is the breathtaking Kawasan Falls. You can actually rent out a cottage in Kawasan, there are transient houses that you can rent out in Kawasan Falls.

I recommend going in November to December, the place is not too crowded tho you cannot join big random groups because it’s not that peak season. You’ll be spending more but you can have and enjoy the place with lesser people.

The lesson you’ll realize before you dive, standing in the flat-form or up before jumping will make you feel everything; happiness, fear, anxiety, nervousness, adrenaline, and even get you to feel excited. While standing there, it’s whether take the risk to jump or just stay and watch everyone else. When you choose to jump, all the feelings you feel before jumping will be gone and you’ll feel like fulfill another dream. Another achievement that you survived from taking that risk, another challenge in your life. Taking all the risk can be negative or positive, there will be always pros and cons.
