Discovering Paradise: Unforgettable Adventures and Experiences on Our Bohol Trip
By nickahtolentino - June 17, 2023
We meticulously planned our vacation by booking our flights via Cebu Pacific a full 6 months ahead of our chosen travel date. This foresight allowed us to secure round-trip flights at an unbeatable price of approximately 2,200 per person.
Next, we turned to Booking.com to find the perfect accommodation for our stay. After browsing through numerous options, we settled on the charming Alona Pawikan in Panglao, ensuring a delightful and memorable experience.
Alona Pawikan Resort: Our Home Away from Home
Located in Panglao, Alona Pawikan offers guests a relaxing and comfortable stay in a serene setting. With its warm and welcoming atmosphere, we knew that this would be the perfect home base for our adventures in the area.
Alona Pawikan Resort offers the perfect blend of traditional charm and modern comforts. The cozy native bungalows feature contemporary interiors, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Its prime location in Alona Beach is close to various attractions and amenities.
One of the standout features of Alona Pawikan Resort is the inclusion of a mini-fridge in each bungalow. This thoughtful addition allowed us to stock up on food for four days, providing the convenience of having available meals and snacks whenever we desired. This saved us time and allowed us to fully enjoy our stay at the resort and explore the surrounding area with ease.
Alona Pawikan Resort goes the extra mile to ensure guests have a memorable and convenient stay by offering motorcycle rentals on-site. The rental rates range from 350 to 500 pesos per 24 hours, providing an affordable and flexible transportation option for guests to explore the beautiful surroundings of Alona Beach and beyond. This convenient service allows guests to fully immerse themselves in the local culture and discover hidden gems at their own pace.
Having booked our flights and accommodations 6 months in advance, we were able to meticulously plan our itinerary to make the most of our time in Bohol. We carefully researched various attractions and hidden gems throughout the region, ensuring that we would have a diverse and unforgettable experience.
The Man-Made Forest is a popular tourist attraction in Bohol, offering a surreal escape to nature's wonders. Visitors can take a leisurely walk or drive through the forest, admiring the tall, uniform trees and the tranquility of the surroundings. The forest is also a favorite spot for taking Instagram-worthy photos.
Please note that when visiting the Man-Made Forest, it is essential to be cautious of speeding cars that drive past the area.
The sanctuary covers more than 160 hectares of forest and aims to educate the public about these unique creatures and their habitat. Visitors can observe tarsiers in their natural environment while supporting the sanctuary's conservation efforts.
The Chocolate Hills are a popular tourist destination in the Philippines and have been declared a National Geological Monument by the Philippine government. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the hills from various viewpoints, such as the Chocolate Hills Complex in Carmen and the Sagbayan Peak. The unique landscape of the Chocolate Hills is a must-see for anyone visiting Bohol and offers a truly memorable experience.
An exciting trip to Balicasag Island to explore its stunning reef. Balicasag Island is a small island located off the coast of Panglao, Bohol, Philippines. It is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, diverse marine life, and vibrant coral reefs, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling and fish feeding.
During your visit to Balicasag Reef, you'll have the opportunity to snorkel amongst colorful corals and a wide variety of fish species. You'll also be able to participate in fish feeding, which is a fun and interactive way to get up close and personal with marine life. The island's pristine waters and abundant aquatic life make it a must-visit destination for snorkeling enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
Remember to bring your snorkeling gear, sunscreen, and a waterproof camera to capture the underwater beauty of Balicasag Reef. It's also a good idea to wear a life jacket if you're not a confident swimmer. You can actually rent gear on Balicasag Island.
